Our photographer, Karen Ruby, will be attending this year’s Sioux Empire Arts and Crafts Show in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. You can check out her new artwork, as well as past favorites, this Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. Karen is displaying new photography and art pieces that reflects her grandparent’s life in the early 1900’s while living in the brakes of the North Dakota Badlands. The landscape, wild horses, and bison found in Theodore Roosevelt National Park are all present in these new pieces of art.
The Sioux Empire Arts & Crafts Show features over 250 exhibitors selling only the highest quality handcrafted items by the most talented artists and crafters from across the Midwest. This is the best shopping event of this nature before the holiday season. The Sioux Empire Arts & Crafts Show has been running since 2005, and has continued to grow. Holiday music, food and fun for the whole family keep exhibitors and shoppers coming back year after year.
This holiday arts & crafts show fills the entire 75,000 square foot center room of the Expo Building located on the W.H. Lyons Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls. Besides Karen’s artwork there is also a wide variety of vendors exhibit products such as pottery, jewelry, housewares, candles, rugs, holiday decor, furniture, toys, and knick knacks to be glad you attended this event.
Karen’s photography will be made available for purchase. Her new art pieces are exclusive to the shows she attends this year and will not be made available for online purchase or showing until the end of her holiday tour. In other words, if you’re curious to see her new work, you’ll need to seek out Karen Ruby at one of the craft shows on her schedule.
Cost for attending the Sioux Empire Arts and Crafts Show is $5 for adults. Ages 12 and under are free.
